Apple Launches New Maps Connect For Local Businesses
October 30, 2014In an effort to enhance Apple Maps, Apple recently released a self-service feature for local business owners to create listings. This portal is called Apple Maps Connect.
Maps Connect is intended for local business owners to create their listing, as well as update contact info, business categories, hours, and social profile links. Business owners can add information directly into the mapping service.
By following a few steps and verifying the business via automated phone call, local business owners all over the country can create a presence on Maps. Maps Connect is currently available to only U.S. businesses, but Apple says that more countries will be added soon.
